Licensing and sponsorship

Put the official record in front of your audience

Newsrooms, agencies, schools, libraries, researchers, and platforms can license VoteFiles records: live record cards, data access, large downloads, and service commitments. Every licensed card and collection of data keeps its link to the official source that proves it.

Reading the archive stays free for everyone. Licensing covers commercial reuse, volume, delivery, and support. Terms, prices, volumes, and service levels are confirmed in a written agreement; nothing on this page is an offer until then.

Attribution stays with the record

Every VoteFiles card, download, and piece of data used in public must keep a visible "Powered by VoteFiles" credit and the official source link. Use this credit line wherever you publish VoteFiles records:

How we find publishers who use VoteFilesOur web server’s ordinary records show which websites load our live cards or use our public data, and which pages send readers to us through a "Powered by VoteFiles" link. Once a day we keep only the website name, the date, and a count of visits. We do not keep any visitor’s address, browser details, or the page address on your site.
Why it mattersIt lets us offer frequent users a license, better service, and correction notices when a record they display changes.
