Commonwealth 02/27/2020 In a criminal case charging misdemeanor failure to stop at the scene of an accident in violation of Code § 46.2-894, commonly known as the hit-and-run statute, in which the Court of Appeals of Virginia affirmed the defendant's conviction, holding that the evidence proved that he had failed to satisfy either of two post-accident reporting requirements specified in the statute, the judgment of the Court of Appeals upholding the conviction is affirmed on that basis. That portion of the Court of Appeals' decision addressing the conjunctive or disjunctive interpretation of the reporting requirements of the statute is vacated.
