ballot measures
Measures appear here only when Power & Politics preserved the state election authority's own list and can quote each number and official title or ballot text word for word. Power & Politics does not describe what a measure would do. Read the full text at the official source before you vote.
Alaska
Some measures quoted · Checked Oct 10, 2026
Taken from the Division of Elections 2026 General Election sample ballot for House District 1, which lists these two statewide ballot measures (as Ballot Measure No. 2 and No. 3); the House District 20 sample ballot listed the same two. The Division publishes one sample ballot per district and each district ballot was not compared.

Initiative 24ESEGinitiative An Act Restoring Political Party Primaries, Ending Ranked-Choice General Elections, and Repealing Recent Campaign Finance Laws
This act would get rid of open primary elections, where all candidates appear on one ballot. It would also get rid of ranked-choice general elections. It would bring back political party primaries and single-choice general elections.

Initiative 25USCVinitiative An Act Addressing Voter Qualification
Alaska law requires that someone must be a United States citizen and meet other requirements to vote. This act would specify that only those who are United States citizens and meet the other requirements may vote.
What these labels mean
The official source reviewed shows these measures but may not be the full ballot. Other statewide measures can exist.
The official site would not let us read it, or no 2026 list we can quote has been published. We say so here instead of guessing.
